Duties such as hosting the annual President%u2019s Reception at the Conference and visiting both Chapters to provide a state of the association presentation at the beginning of the year. These lists can be incorporated into the Board handbook and passed down to each Officer.TREASURER%u2019S REPORTReport included in the agenda.MOVED by Nick Ariotti and SECONDED to accept the financial reports as included in the agenda. MOTION CARRIED.TRAIL HEROProposal included in agenda.Executive Director Crissy Willson recommended that instead of accepting the proposal as written we suggest developing this as a member discount program.Action Item: Crissy to contact Trail Hero and determine if proposal can be changed to a member discount program. If so, and no cost to NALS Crissy is authorized to move forward with development of program.RIGHT OF ENTRY DOOR HANGERSExecutive Director Crissy Willson reported that the Right of Entry Door Hangers have been received and are available for purchase on the NALS website. Crissy recommended development of a best practices for Surveyor%u2019s Right of Entry (ROE) and provided a sample.Action Item: Board members to review the sample ROE best practices and email suggestions. ADVANCED EDUCATIONCollege of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking an instructor. The instructor will teach the Survey class and help develop the curriculum for the four-year degree program. Interested parties should contact Dr. Sims. ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYReport distributed.Michael Detwiler has been recruited to the NSPS Drone Committee which will be focusing on how to address the DJI ban. Michael is working on an article for the Nevada Traverse. Nick Ariotti discussed the data that is collected via autonomous vehicles and suggested that Land Surveyors should remain in the forefront of all geospatial data. Nick Ariotti, Michael Detwiler, and Brett Clarke to form a working group to brainstorm ways Land Surveyors can address this growing market.BOARD OF REGISTRATION LIAISONReport included in agenda. BRPELS hosted an Ethics and NRS Update webinar on May 20 - 21st to help licensees with renewal requirements.NEVADA TRAVERSEArticles, photos, and reports should be emailed to Editor Trent Keenan by August 1st.CONFERENCEReport included in agenda.The Board of Directors discussed the 2025 Conference which will be co-sponsored by CLSA. The Board requested the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) be amended to reflect a more equitable split of sponsorship proceeds. Additionally, due to the smaller size of a Conference Committee with only NALS and CLSA, the MOU should be adjusted to increase the number of committee participants.MOVED by Jason Higgins and SECONDED to authorize Nancy Almanzan to negotiate an MOU for 2025 and 2027 reflecting an increase in the size of the committee and 25% of gross sponsorship income from non-exhibitors is credited to the state that generated the sponsor.
